JOB DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Safety Manager, the Training Coordinator will assist in planning, organizing, coordinating, observing, evaluating, and implementing comprehensive training. The prospective training coordinator should possess the following traits:

Interest - It is very important to have an interest in your safety and the safety of others.

Belief and Passion – Beyond interest, an honest belief in the benefits of safety and visible passion in the expression of those beliefs is an invaluable trait that separates good trainers from great ones.

Knowledge and Experience – Knowledge and experience is a must have and operational experience needed to demonstrate the same tasks their trainees are expected to perform.

Communication Skills Strong reading, writing and English language skills, and the ability to utilize such skills to articulate ideas and concepts.

People Skills – Patience, approachability, empathy, respect for others and self-confidence.

Flexibility – Able to come in early or stay late to cover all shifts. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Powered industrial truck certifier
• Overhead crane certifier
• Aerial lift certifier
• Maintain employee training records and training matrix
• Assist with new hire orientation training
• Assist in the creation, audit and distribution of SOPs
• Assist with the implementation of safety policies
• Assist in enforcing policies to keep work practices in compliance with CAL-OSHA
• Production support as needed
